St. Teresa, better known as Mother Teresa, was born in 1910 in Macedonia. When she was young, she felt called to serve the Church as a nun. As a nun, St. Teresa taught in a school in India before she received a special call from God: to serve the poorest of the poor. She began teaching the poor children in the slums of Calcutta and caring for the sick and dying with great love and care. Young women began to join St. Teresa in her work and eventually formed the order of the Missionaries of Charity. St. Teresa became known all over as Mother Teresa. She worked tirelessly and made the love of Jesus real for all who she came in contact with. In 1939, St. Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In her later years, she traveled around the world, opening special houses to care for the sick and dying. After a life lived with much love, St. Teresa died in 1997. She was  a Saint by Pope Francis in 2016. How can we bring the love of Jesus to others like St. Teresa of Calcutta?
